September 12, 2012 Meeting Minutes
If you earn 300 service hours in 1 year you can get about $1,100. Twenty percent of those service hours can be class time. Orientation times are September 21, 2012 at 4:00 - 5:00 pm, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 - 12:00 pm, and October 4, 2012 at 9:00 - 10:00 am.

September 5, 2012 Meeting Minutes
There will be movie night at the Historic Cedar Theater tonight, September 5, 2012. Spider man will be playing at 6:30 and Total Recall will be playing at 9:15. The movie is free, just bring your student I.D. and tell them you are supporting SUUSNA. The theater will donate money to our club for everyone that is supporting SUUSNA.
The club fair will be this Thursday September 6, 2012 on the Multipurpose Quad. If you are helping please be there at 5:30.
Soccer Tailgate Party:
There will be a soccer tailgate party this Saturday. If we have a car too distribute food to our club members we can earn Merit Money. The party begins at 11:00 am. Stephanie Goodwin has volunteered to use her car.
The Opening Social will be on September 20, 2012. Dani Curtis is in charge of the committee. If you are willing to assist with that, please contact her.
Homecoming is on September 29, 2012. We are in need of a committee to to help work on the float. Janci Rimer and Jaclyn Waters are in charge of the committee.
Level 4 Fundraiser:
On September 13, 2012 the Level 4 nursing students have organized a fundraiser with McDonalds between 6:00-8:00pm. If you eat there during those times a portion of your purchase will be donated to them.
If you come to meetings your name will be entered into a drawing for the end of the semester. The more meetings you attend, the greater chance you have of winning a prize!
The NSNA convention will be held in San Diego, California on November 8-11, 2012. If you are interested in going please contact Angie Edwards.

August 29, 2012 Meeting Minutes
The club fair will be held on September 7, 2012. Look for more information next week.
Elections will be held at the next SUUSNA meeting. If you are interested in running for a position talk to Lisa.
Labor Day Parade:
The Labor day Parade will be held in Parowan on September 4, 2012. We will be meeting in the parking lot across from the new Science Addition building. Please be in that parking lot by 8:45 AM so we can arrange carpooling. There are several people who are in need of rides. Please wear some SUU nursing attire. You can wear SUU nursing t-shirts or your uniform. We will be passing out candy and hand sanitizer at the parade. The parade will begin at 10:00 AM. If you have questions or comments please contact Makenzie Chappell at (435) 691-4822.
The opening Social will be held on September 13, 2012. If you have ideas for the social or would like to be on the commitee to plan the opening social please contact Lisa.
Designs for T-Shirts will be presented at the next meeting. If you would like to vote please attend the meeting next week.
March 28, 2012 Meeting Minutes
The preparedness expo will be held on April 14th from 10:00-4:00 pm. The bake sale for Relay for Life will be moved to a booth at the expo. The expo will be in the Heritage Center. It would be great if each level could bring 20 items that are packaged and ready for sale.
The social will be held next week at Three Peaks. See the "Social" tab for more information and directions. Dutch Ovens are needed, so please contact Angie if you have one that can be used. Remember that second orders for jackets are due at the social.
Level 2 will be putting on the herbal fair from noon to three o'clock in the Sharwan Smith Center.
March 21, 2012 Meeting Minutes
The social will be held at Three Peaks and have a BBQ. Food assignments for each level was assigned. Please see the "Social" tab.
Relay for Life:
There will be a meeting held on Thursday at 6:00 pm near the tables in the nursing lobby. The goal is to plan for the actual event.
Second Order For Jackets:
If you are interested in the second order of jackets, the order form and money are due by the social on April 4th.
CERT Training will begin on Friday at 6:00 pm at the Heritage Center.

March 7, 2012 Meeting Minutes
The socail will be held on April 4th at 6:00 pm out at Three Peaks. The current plan is to have a BBQ and a bonfire. The ideas for dinner include: hot dogs/ hamburgers (bring your own meat), and each level will be in charge of bringing salads, desserts, chips, etc. There may be a movie on a projector.
The collection bags are in the office. Try and get all of the levels involved!
Relay for Life:
There will be a fundraiser on April 14th. We will be doing a car wash and spraying out garbage cans. There will also be a bake sale. Volunteers are still needed on the Relay for Life team. Please sign up online.
Second Order of Jackets:
The second order for jackets will start this week. Order forms will be sen out by email and hard order forms will be in the office. Give money to Angie Edwards. Make any checks out to her. If you want more information you can email Angie.
February 29, 2012 Meeting Minutes
Relay for Life:
There will no longer be a fun run to raise money for Relay for Life. The new idea is to have a car wash/ garbage spray out and bake sale on April 14. The theme for our relay team has been set up. There is still a need for volunteers to sign-up online.
The club will not be participating in the heath fair anymore, so there is no need for volunteers for the booth.
The collection bags are hanging in the office. The winners of the silver challenge will be announced at the social. The challenge will end the last week in March.
The club needs help pulling the social together! The ideas that have been thrown out for the social include a bonfire at Three Peaks. Attend the meeting next week if you have ideas or would like more information.

Camp Kesem Benefit Concert:
John Allred is coming in concert tomorrow night (February 23, 2012) at 8:00 pm in the Sterling Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door.
T-Bird Award Nominations:
T-Bird award nominations are found on the SUU home page.
Second Order of Jackets:
Class representatives will be passing around a sign up sheet for anyone interested in buying a jacket. There are still two L T-shirts and one 2XL Red Mens Jacket available. Let Angie know if you are interested in them.

February 15, 2012 Meeting Minutes
Changes on the By-Laws were voted on; all changes to the By-Laws were passed (see By-Laws).
Outstanding Faculty Member:
The club was hoping to nominate one of the nursing faculty that the students could all vote for this years "Outstanding Faculty Member" at SUU. Rebecca Rasmusson had the winning vote! Please take time to vote for her by Friday, 2/17/12.
The club is hoping the collection bags will be up in the office by Friday, 2/17/12. (See our Silver Challenge)
End of Semester Social:
A tentative date is set for 4/4/12 to hold the end of semester social. If you are willing to be in charge of organizing the social, please inform an officer (see Officers).
Megan volunteered to head off the health fair if the club chooses to do it, contact Megan (Level 3) if you are willing to volunteer at the Health Fair. You can get at least four community service hours!
Relay for Life:
If you are interested in participating in Relay for Life in April, attend the meeting at 6:00 pm in the nursing department lobby on 2/22/2012.
